Description
While I enjoy nature photography, living in a major metropolitan city, I have also developed an interest in shooting architectural abstracts. In almost any weather or light, the south tower of the Royal Bank Plaza always shows well.
In the right light this tower, and its adjacent north tower, gleam with gold, literally. When it was built in the late 1970s, 2,500 oz. of gold were used in the manufacturing of the window panes for both towers combined.
I imagine that, like most photographers who enjoy shooting this iconic building in downtown Toronto, I'm always hoping to find a new angle or lighting conditions to flatter this enduring design by WZMH Architects.
