Description
On a foggy June 2006 morning, I set out for a walk with my camera along the boardwalk that is a prominent and well-used feature of Toronto’s eastern Beach community. In the area east of the Leuty Lifeguard Station, the fog crept inland to throw a thick blanket over the boardwalk and anyone strolling by.
Through my sleepy eyes, I enjoyed watching people emerge from the fog as they walked and jogged toward me, and disappear into the fog after they passed me. A dog appeared in front of me, followed by its long leash, and finally by its owner. After they walked by, I stopped, turned around, and took a few photos as they moved further into the fog. In this one, the dog was just out of view, and so the woman appears to be walking an invisible dog, or perhaps she is walking the fog. Maybe the fog is walking her.
