For a few weeks each fall, Monarch Park's trees show off their more colourful side. I've photographed the tree in the left centre of this image on a number of occasions. Monarch Park - 100 is another example. The late afternoon sun illuminated the fall colors and provided some nice long shadows in the foreground.

Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
