Description

I called this Goldfinch Dance, but it's really not a dance. It's two males engaged in a flutter flight, something that happens during mating season as two males compete for the rights to mate with a female. I suspect she was nearby as these two battled, perhaps to intimidate the other into abandoning his pursuit, or maybe just to impress the female with their superior masculinity. It's really not all that different from some human behaviour I've observed but was never inspired to photograph.
