Artist's Description

Delphi, Greece is situated along a slope of Mount Parnassus and is considered one the cradles of civilization. It is also where the ancient Olympics were first contested. On an early morning stroll in the modern town of Delphi, I walked to the eastern edge of town and found this lone tree casting a lovely shadow. The lines drawn by the fence, the horizon where the field meets the mountain backdrop and the creases in the field and the mountain all combined to create a nice balance in this image.
