Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

On a sunny June 2006 morning, I set out for a walk with my camera along the boardwalk that is a prominent and well-used feature of Toronto's eastern Beach community. Near Woodbine Beach #3, there are some lovely old trees that provide welcome shade on a hot summer day.

This shot was really just a matter of framing the trees and letting all the other background detail speak for itself. Some of the usual boardwalk activity is in evidence. People both old and young, alone, coupled and families, out for a walk, a run, or a bike ride, or to just sit quietly on a bench, to talk, or to think. Sadly, no more than a week after I took this photo, a major section of the tree on the left fell to the ground, perhaps the victim of lightning or wind or maybe just old age.

About Rick Shea

Rick Shea

Full-time marketing & business development consultant, part-time photographer, lifetime lover of photography. I love to explore. Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
