I had just finished reading an article about how a great time to shoot outdoors to get nicely saturated colors is right after it rains. I looked out the window and saw that the rain was letting up and the late afternoon sun was making an appearance. I did the only sensible thing I could do, which was put down the magazine, pick up my camera bag, and headed out the door to nearby Monarch Park. After poking around for a few minutes, I noticed the sun hitting the base of this tree and found my subject.
Full-time marketing & business development consultant, part-time photographer, lifetime lover of photography. I love to explore. Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
