The 27 storey East Tower of Toronto's current city hall opened in 1965, after four years of construction which began in 1961. It was built to replace the old City Hall that was built in 1899. Located at Nathan Phillips Square at 100 Queen Street West, the "new" City Hall is a Toronto landmark, and one of the city's most photographed buildings. I like how this particular view of the East Tower is a bit of an optical illusion, making it difficult to know whether you are looking at the convex or concave side of the building.
Full-time marketing & business development consultant, part-time photographer, lifetime lover of photography. I love to explore. Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
