From Budapest, Hungary, a 45 minute train ride north, initially along the west bank of the Danube River, will take you to the town of Szentendre. The first documented mention of the town originates from 1009AD, although it is believed to have been inhabited since the new stone age.

Today, Szentendre has a population of 20,000 and is geared towards tourism, with art galleries and museums being the main draw, along with the charm of its narrow streets and lanes, and old stone structures. The moment I saw this narrow stone wall lined walkway, I knew it would make a good photograph. The height of the walls was the thing I wanted to convey, so I exaggerated that via a wide angle lens.

Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
