This early October, panoramic view of Mont Saint Hilaire was taken from just north of the train bridge on the west bank of the Richelieu River. This was the day my parents moved out of our home of roughly 45 years. The moving truck had gone, my sister and I had given the house one last cleaning. I then headed down to the river for one last look at the mountain on a gorgeous late afternoon, not sure I'd ever be back for another visit, but hoping I would one day.

Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
