Fog is more common in the spring, but one late November morning featured the most dense fog I've seen in Monarch Park. These majestic trees show their beauty in all seasons and I find them especially photogenic without their leaves. Unfortunately, the ice storm that hit Toronto just before Christmas of 2013 was especially devastating for these particular trees. I'm glad I managed to capture them before the ice storm in several photos. They've added a great deal to my ongoing study that began with Monarch Park - 120.

Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
