For a few weeks each fall, Monarch Park's trees show off their more colourful side. In this photo, I'm in a spot that I return to frequently to shoot under a variety of conditions. The late afternoon sun brought out the fall colors and illuminated the carpet of leaves in the foreground.

Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
