Carleton Place, Ontario straddles both sides of the other Mississippi river in eastern Ontario, a little west of Ottawa. I shot this scene on an early spring morning after a light dusting of snow had fallen overnight.

Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
