The Mill of Kintail Conservation Area, about a 10 minute drive west of Almonte, Ontario, is a 154 hectare site consisting of field, forest and the Indian River. There are 6 kilometers of trails on this heritage property. The R. Tait McKenzie and Dr. James Naismith Museum celebrate the area's two national historic figures.
The old wooden structure in this image is just steps from the parking lot at the beginning of the Conservation Trail, one of a half dozen trails in the area, featuring a number of old buildings on the property.
Full-time marketing & business development consultant, part-time photographer, lifetime lover of photography. I love to explore. Whether I'm exploring the world or in and around Toronto, I like to explore with my camera. Many things catch my eye, including nature, landscapes, cityscapes, abstracts and people, but my favourite discoveries are often moments. As I walk, I keep my camera ready, adjusting settings as I go for changing light conditions, or in anticipation of a moment unfolding ahead of me. These moments can be fleeting and I like to be ready when they are.
